With a fresh, floral, citrusy scent and woody undertones, Petitgrain essential oil is derived from the leaves of the orange tree, rather than the blossoms or fruit.  Often an ingredient in skin and hair care products, it can help balance the oil and moisture levels in skin, fighting blemishes as well as dryness and cracking.  With antibacterial properties, it can be used to combat body odour and it is a known tonic for the nervous system, helping to calm, refresh, and energise when feeling exhausted or stressed.  Spiritually, it encourages harmony between the spirit and the inner self, awakening consciousness and allowing for contact between the subconscious and higher self, paving the way to spiritual attunement and growth.  In mystical rituals, it can be used to clear negative energies and draw protection.
